AmCham Oman continues to play a significant role in supporting Oman’s digital transformation with the official launch of its Technology & AI Committee, bringing together key leaders from government and industry to drive innovation, collaboration, and growth in the Sultanate’s digital economy.

The committee is chaired by Sheikh Saif Al Hosni, General Manager of Microsoft Oman & Bahrain, and co-chaired by Amr Nabil of Dell Technologies, reflecting strong leadership from global technology giants committed to Oman’s innovation ecosystem.
In a recent strategic engagement, the committee had the privilege of meeting with H.E. Dr. Ali Al Shidhani, PhD, alongside the leadership team at MTCIT (Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology), to discuss alignment with Oman’s digital economy priorities and the future direction of the committee.

The discussions focused on two critical areas—enhancing technology workforce readiness and employment opportunities for Omanis, and increasing international exposure for Omani startups, SMEs, and emerging talent.
This initiative marks an important step in accelerating Oman’s digital ambitions and creating stronger pathways for innovation, talent development, and global technology partnerships.
